IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
WARNING: this unit must be installed with unrestricted outlet to the pond.
• This unit has been designed for use with all types of domestic garden pumps (working pressure not to exceed
10psi). Advice should be sought from your dealer if the unit is to be subjected to abnormal conditions.
• Consult a qualified electrician.
• Never look directly at an illuminated UV lamp.
• Use in the area of the garden pond only if the installation complies with the relevant wiring regulations.
• Power must be supplied through a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30mA.
• This unit must be earthed. Never use a fuse larger than 3 amps.
• Rating: 100-277V, 50-60Hz. 33W Class I. IP44
• Always isolate the unit from mains electricity and turn off the water supply before carrying out any maintenance.
• Always disconnect all pond appliances from the mains supply before putting your hands into the water.
• The unit must not be submerged in water.
• The unit must be either fully frost protected or taken inside during the winter months.
• Do not run this unit dry.
• Do not cover this unit.
• If the quartz sleeve is cracked, replace it immediately.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Young children should always be supervised near water.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
UVC bulbs must not be disposed of in household refuse but must be taken to an authorised collection point for
