ADJUSTMENT OF THE WALKING RATE
Factory adjustments :
Adjustment buttons A and B : position 3
•
Tube C : turn in completely unless 3 turns.
•
When the patient walks at his normal tempo, pro-
ceed in the following order to the adjustments of :
1) Extension speed : screw in (quicker return) or out
(slower return) tube C
Caution : In any case check that the knee can
reach maximum flexion.
2) Flexion range when walking :
Screw in (decreased flexion) or out (increased
flexion) the lower adjustment button B
3) Extension damping
Screw in (increased damping) or out (decreased
damping) the upper adjustment button A.
FLEXION END STOP
When the patient is crouched or kneeled, the socket
must be in contact with the flexion end stop.
Check that in these conditions there is no contact
between the linkages and the plate.
MAINTENANCE
This product requires only a yearly visit to your
prosthetist who will control that it works well.
WARRANTY
This product is guaranteed during one year against any manufacturing defect. This warranty is not applicable to
damages due to a bad assembly, an inadequate alignment, a dusty environment without adapted protection or
any inadequate use.
CAUTION : Use a silicon spray to eliminate noises due to the cosmetic foam cover friction. Do not use talcum
powder. Talcum powder reduces the lubrification of the mechanical parts, which may lead to malfunction and
risk of falling for the patient.
The application of talcum powder will render all claims against Proteor null and void.
