Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with the instructions, certain
residual risks cannot be eliminated. The fol-
lowing hazards may arise in connection with
the equipment's construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-
tion is applied.
Warning!
This equipment generates an electromag-
netic fi eld during operation. Under certain
circumstances this fi eld may actively or pas-
sively impede medical implants. To reduce
the risk of serious or fatal injuries, we recom-
mend persons with medical implants to con-
sult their doctor and the manufacturer of the
medical implant prior to using the equipment.

5. Before starting the equipment

Fitting the push bars (Fig. 3a – 3b)
The push bar consists of 2 parts: the bottom push
bar (Item 5) and the top push bar (Item 3).
First fi t the bottom push bar (Item 5) with the
help of the supplied quick-lock levers (Item 4) as
shown in Fig. 3a. Turn the respective quick-lock
lever (Fig. 4) onto the thread only to the point
where it can still be fl ipped towards the back
again.
Now use the two other quick-lock levers (Item 4)
to fi t the top push bar (Item 3) as shown in Fig. 3b.
Here again, turn the respective quick-lock lever
(Item 4) onto the thread only to the point where it
can still be fl ipped towards the back again.
Now you can set the required height by simply
fl ipping open the two bottom quick-lock levers
(Item 4). When doing so, make sure that both
sides are set to the same height. To secure the
push bar again, fl ip the two quick-lock levers (Item
4) back into the closed position.
Fitting the grass catch bag (Fig. 4a/4b)
To fi t the grass catch bag (10), pull the fastening
lugs over the bar frame (Fig. 4A) on all sides.
Before you hang in the the grass catch bag (10),
make sure that the motor is switched off and the
blade is not rotating. Lift up the chute fl ap (Fig. 4b/
Item 6) with one hand and hang in the grass catch

bag (10) from the top (Fig. 4b) while holding the
grass catch bag (10) by its handle with the other
hand, .
Adjusting the cutting height
Caution! Adjust the cutting height only when the
motor is switched off and the safety plug has
been pulled. Before you begin to mow, check to
ensure that the blade is not blunt and that none
of the fasteners are damaged. To prevent any
imbalance, replace blunt and/or damaged blades.
To carry out this check, fi rst switch off the motor
and pull out the safety plug. To do so, push the
lever of the cutting height adjustment (Fig. 5/Item
8) outwards, select the required cutting height by
moving the lever to the left or right, and pull back
the lever into one of the 6 graduations.
Make sure that the lever engages properly!
Position 1:
Cutting height: 25 mm
Position 2:
Cutting height: 35 mm
Position 3:
Cutting height: 45 mm
Position 4:
Cutting height: 55 mm
Position 5:
Cutting height: 65 mm
Position 6:
Cutting height: 75 mm
Battery pack
The device is fi tted with two lithium-ion batte-
ries. The battery pack is completely closed and
maintenance-free.
Charging the battery (Fig. 6)
1. Take the battery pack (13) out of the equip-
ment. Do this by pressing the side pushlock
buttons.
2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as
that marked on the rating plate of the battery
charger. Insert the power plug of the charger
into the socket outlet. The green LED will then
begin to fl ash.
3. Insert the battery pack into the battery char-
ger.
4. In the section entitled „Charger indicator" you
will fi nd a table with an explanation of the LED
