Please observe the instructions included in this section. By doing so you increase levels of safety for
yourself and your surroundings while working with a new technology.

Possible property damage
Mechanical or electrical damage may occur if the motor is overloaded:
•
In the event of abrupt changes to motor speed or torque
•
In the event of incorrect motor selection or incorrectly mounted motor (torque overload)
Warning
Possible personal injury
Hazard due to hot housing components:
•
Motor housing components may become hot if the motor is subjected to very high loading for several
minutes at a low speed.
•
Whenever possible, only run motors for short periods of time with maximum permissible load.
• Always connect the motor's thermo-switch to the "Motor ϑ" input at the test bench.
The slotted assembly board may heat up during lengthy periods of braking operation.
The cooling slots in the base plate must not be covered. The base plate must have a clearance of roughly
1 cm (rubber foot) from the tabletop.

Danger of falling objects:
The motors and the test bench are heavy and angular. They may fall on the feet if handled incorrectly.
Wear suitable safety shoes when carrying these devices from one place to the next.
