5 Operating the test bench

5.4.1 Torque control operating mode

Starting the torque control measurement – here's how:
Let us assume you want to select the torque control operating mode and specify a value of 0.8 Nm.
1. Selection:
Set the arrow to the "Torque Con" line by turning the rotary knob, and then press the rotary knob to
acknowledge your selection.
2. Adjustment/start-up:
Press the rotary knob, after which the corresponding field appears as an inverse display.
Select a value of 0.8 Nm with the rotary knob. The test motor is now set into motion and its speed is
indicated continuously in the display under the "Speed" line.
Stopping the measurement – here's how:
1. Move the arrow in the display to the "Exit" line with the rotary knob.
2. Press the rotary knob.
Window number 1 appears and measurement is stopped.

5.4.2 Speed control operating mode

Starting the speed control measurement – here's how:
Measurement with specified speed is started using the same basic procedure as for the torque control
measurement (the motor must be at a standstill before adjustment is begun). In this case select the "Speed
Con" line in window number 1 and then enter the desired speed in rpm under the "Speed:" line.
Stopping the measurement
1. Move the arrow in the display to the "Exit" line with the rotary knob.
2. Press the rotary knob.
Window number 1 appears and measurement is stopped.
