Range Configuration

Generally, the range is set according to the actual length of optical fiber in order to insure the
accuracy.of.the.measurement.
Under the parameter configuration menu use p.and.q to highlight "Range." Press Enter.to.select.
a range (Figure 3-10). Press
Use.p.and.q to select an adequate range. Press Enter to confirm.
Length of optical fiber relevant to the trace
Width of laser pulse sent out from OTDR to optical fiber

Select laser wavelength for measurement
