Disposal of old appliances. Based on the European standard
2002/96 / EC Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE),
old appliances can not be disposed of in the normal unsorted
municipal waste containers; must be collected separately to optimize
the recovery and recycling of materials they contain and reduce the
impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the
crossed out dustbin is marked on all products to remind consumers
the obligation to classify them for a separated collection. Consumers
should contact a local authority or retailer for information concerning
the proper disposal of their appliance.
