WEARING AND ADJUSTMENT: 1 – Cup the mask
in the hand, the headbands downward. 2 – Place
the mask under the chin, the nose-bridge upward
and outside. 3 – Place the lower headband around
the neck, below the ears. 4 – Holding the mask
against the face with one hand, place the top
headband above the ears, around the crown of the
head. 5 – For masks with adjustable headstraps,
adjust the tension by pulling on the headbands (to
reduce the tension, press on the fastener flaps). 6
– CHECK FOR LEAK-TIGHTNESS AS FOLLOWS:
• place both hands over the mask and – exhale
sharply for a mask without exhalation valve –
inhale deeply for a mask with exhalation valve •
if you feel air leaks around the edges, re-adjust
the mask by tightening the nose-bridge and/or
increasing tension of the headbands (by tying
a knot) • repeat the procedure until satisfactory
face-fit has been achieved. N.B.: requirements for
leak-tightness are unlikely to be achieved if the
respirator is worn against a beard or facial stubble.
USING: Taking a new mask from its box. 1 –
Check the condition of the mask before use.
2 – Fit the mask and check leak-tightness
before entering the contaminated area.
3 – Wear it for the whole duration of exposure
to contaminants. 4 – Discard it and replace
with a new one if: • it is removed while in
a contaminated area • excessive clogging
causes breathing difficulty or discomfort • it
becomes damaged • for masks offering relief
against nuisance odours, the smell becomes
detectable. Do not alter the mask. Leave the
contaminated area if dizziness, irritation or
other distress occurs.

toxicidad). «D» marcado por pasar la prueba de
colmatación de dolomita. « NR » (uso en un solo
turno) o « R » (Reusable) marcada según la nor-
matividad enmendada EN149:2001+A1:2009.
LIMITACIONES: NO use estas mascarillas
para ingresar o permanecer en un área en
donde: • la concentración de oxígeno sea
menor que 17% (atmósferas deficientes
en oxígeno) • los contaminantes y/o sus
concentraciones sean desconocidos o
inmediatamente peligrosos para la vida o la
salud • la concentración del aerosol excede
los niveles fijados por las reglamentaciones
aplicables de salud y seguridad o el Factor de
protección x TLV • estén presentes gases y/o
vapores. NO use esta máscara en atmósferas
explosivas, salvo en caso de referencias pro-
vistas con una Declaración de Conformidad.
No la emplee antes de recibir capacitación
COMPROBACIÓN ANTES DEL EMPLEO: El
usuario deberá asegurarse que la mascarilla
es adecuada para la aplicación pretendida
antes de entrar al área contaminada.

box and store in a non-contaminated area.

USO Y AJUSTE: 1 – Sostenga la mascarilla
en la mano, las bandas para la cabeza
hacia abajo. 2 – Coloque la mascarilla bajo
la barbilla, el puente de la nariz hacia arriba
y afuera. 3 – Coloque la cinta inferior para la
cabeza alrededor del cuello, bajo las orejas.
4 – Sosteniendo la mascarilla contra la cara
con una mano, coloque la cinta superior para
la cabeza arriba de las orejas, alrededor de
la corona de la cabeza. 5 – Para mascarillas
con Cintas para la cabeza ajustables, ajuste
la tensión tirando de las cintas para la cabeza
(para reducir la tensión, presione en las aletas
de sujeción). 6 – COMPRUEBE EN BUSCA
DE FUGAS Y LA HERMETICIDAD DE LA SI-
GUIENTE MANERA: • coloque ambas manos
sobre la mascarilla y exhale repentinamente
para una mascarilla sin válvula de exhalación,
inhale profundamente para una mascarilla
con válvula de exhalación • si usted siente
fugas de aire alrededor de los bordes, reajuste
la mascarilla apretando el puente de la nariz
y/o aumentando la tensión de las cintas para
la cabeza (atando un nudo) • repita el proce-
dimiento hasta que se haya logrado un ajuste
satisfactorio en la cara. N.B.: Es poco probable
que los requerimientos para la hermeticidad
contrafugas se logren si el respirador se utiliza
utiliza con barba o una barba incipiente.
EMPLEO: Tome una mascarilla nueva de
su caja. 1 – Compruebe la condición de la
mascarilla antes de su empleo. 2 – Ajuste la
