Controls for other components

This remote control can control these components after entering the proper codes or teaching the receiver the
commands (see pages 80–84). Use the MULTI CONTROL buttons to select the
component.
Button (s) Function
SOURCE Press to switch the component between standby and on.

Press to return to the start of the current track.
Repeated presses skips to the start of previous tracks.
Go back channels (channel –).
Play the reverse side of the tape on a reversible deck.

Press to advance to the start of the next track.
Repeated presses skips to the start of following tracks.
Go forward channels (channel +).
Play the forward side of the tape on a reversible deck.

Pause playback or recording.

Hold down for fast forward playback.

Hold down for fast reverse playback.

Stops playback (on some models, pressing this when the disc is
already stopped will cause the disc tray to open).

Starts recording. To prevent accidental recording, this button must
be pressed twice to take effect (the second press must be within 10
seconds of the first).
Number buttons
Directly access tracks on a program source.
Use the number buttons to navigate the on-screen display.
+10 button
Selects tracks higher than 10. (For example, press +10 then 3 to
select track 13.)
DISC
Chooses the disc.
Ejects the disc.
Use as the ENTER button.
Changes sides of the LD.
MENU
Displays menus concerning the current DVD or DVR you are using.

Pauses the tape.

Stops the tape.
ENTER Starts playback.

Fast rewinds/fast forwards the tape.

Navigates DVD menu/options.
CHANNEL Selects channels.
+/– Selects tracks.
TOP MENU /DISPLAY Displays the disc 'top' menu of a DVD.
AUDIO Changes the audio language or channel.
SUBTITLE Displays/changes the subtitles on multilingual DVDs.
ANGLE Switches camera angles on discs with multi-angle scenes.
