4.
Installation
These electric pumps can be installed only in swimming pools or ponds that comply with IEC 60364-7-702
standards and/or national regulations of the country in which the product is to be installed (In France:
NFC 15-100). In case of doubt, please consult your specialist.
The pump must be installed in a horizontal position, at least 2 m from the swimming pool wall and at water level
height or, if possible, below.
It is not advisable to install the pump at more than 3 m geometric height from the water level.
5.
Installing the lines
The suction and discharge lines must have supports that are independent from those of the pump.
The diameter of the suction line must be equal to or greater than that of the pump suction mouth.
The suction line should be structured with a slight slant to prevent siphon formation.
The line must be connected to the pump by gluing it to the accessories provided. These are coupled to the
pump by a threaded connection and closed by means of an O-ring seal.
6.
Electrical connection
The electrical installation should have a multiple separation system with contact openings of at least 3 mm.
The pump should have a power supply via a circuit with a residual current circuit breaker device (RCD) with an
assigned operating value no higher than 30mA.
It is obligatory to connect the supply cable to the pump motor with the corresponding terminals. For exterior
installation, the cable must be at least of the "H07 RN-F" type.
The power supply socket for the apparatus must be at least 3.5 m from the pool.
Single-phase motors are equipped with built-in thermal protection. In the case of three-phase motors, the user
should provide thermal protection complying with the installation regulations in force.
The diagrams in Fig. 1 will allow correct electrical connection.
7.
Make sure the pump shaft turns freely.
Make sure that the mains voltage and frequency match those indicated on the pump nameplate.
Make sure that the turning direction of the motor coincides with that indicated on the fan cover. If the turning
direction is incorrect in a three-phase motor, invert two phases of power supply in the protection panel (Fig. 6).
If the motor does not start, try to discover the cause of the irregularity in the list of most frequent problems and
possible solutions provided in this manual.
NEVER RUN THE PUMP DRY.
