Safety instructions

This electric tool may only be used,
maintained and repaired by the people who
have received the relevant instructions.
These people must have reached the
minimum age legally required. For safe work
and familiarizing with all the remaining risks,
they must have read and understood this
Operating Manual.
1. For maximum safety of work with this
electric tool, read this Operating Manual
carefully and observe all the instructions
given herein.
2. Follow the safety instructions supplied
separately as a part of delivery with each
electric tool.
3. The electric tools shall not be used in damp
or wet locations, outdoors in the presence of
rain, fog, snow, or if there is a risk of fire or
explosion.
4. Check the power supply cord and plug
before each use of the electric tool. Have
any defect repaired by a professional service
workshop.
5. Remove plug from the mains before
performing any work on the electric tool.
6. Only insert plug in the mains socket when
the electric tool is switched off by the mains
switch. Always keep the power supply cord
back away from the electric tool while
working and allow the cord to move freely in
the whole working area to make trouble-free
work possible.
7. When working outdoors, use exclusively the
extension cords and cable connectors
attested for outdoor use.
8. The electric tool may only be started after
placing it on the workpiece in initial position.
9. Keep hands away from the chip discharge
channel. If the channel is blocked, first the
electric tool must be switched off and
allowed to come to a complete standstill.
After that, the chips may be removed.
10. Secure work in a safe position with enough
support for a workpiece and the electric tool.
11. Whenever possible, the electric tool should
be connected to the mains via a fault current
circuit breaker (Fl) or a PRCD safety device.
12. Damaged power supply cords must be
replaced immediately by a specialist.
13. The pendulum safety guard shall be freely
movable. It shall not remain blocked in the
opened position.

14. Never brake the saw blade to a stop by
applying side pressure on the disc after
switching off.
15. Always use saw blades which are suitable
for the intended work.
16. The saw blade and the riving knife shall not
be liable to jamming in cut. Side set of the
saw blade teeth shall be larger and
thickness of the saw blade body shall be
smaller than thickness of the riving knife.
17. Always use the riving knife; ensure that the
riving knife is in proper distance from the
toothed rim of the saw blade.
18. Only use properly sharpened saw blades
showing no damage. Cracked, deformed or
blunt saw blades must be replaced
immediately.
19. Using saw blades of highly alloyed steels or
high speed steel (HSS) is prohibited.
20. Never cut materials containing asbestos.
21. Make sure that there are no obstructions in
the cutting line both on the upper and lower
surfaces of the workpiece.
22. Never let your fingers to approach rotating
saw blade. Beware of touching the saw
blade toothed rim below the workpiece.
23. The saw blade should not project more than
3 mm below the workpiece.
24. Never cut in the vicinity of nails, screws etc.
occurring in a workpiece.
25. In case that the saw blade gets stalled,
switch off the electric tool immediately.
26. The use of saw blades showing cracks or
deformations is strictly prohibited.
27. Unauthorized use of this product anyway
may lead to a personal injury.
28. Repairs shall be carried out by the qualified
personnel only.
29. Use only the original spare parts.
30. Use safety glasses and ear protection.
31. The dust originating from cutting wood is
hazardous to health. Connect the dust
extraction adapter and wear a dust mask.

Remaining risks

Even when the electric tool is used properly and
all the relevant safety measures are followed,
the following remaining risks can still occur due
to the design of the electric tool required for the
intended working operations:
- Contact with the saw blade in the cutting area;
- Clothing can be caught by the rotating parts;
- Hazards invited by the flexible supply cord.
