PLACING THE MILLS
The milling shaft is made with a hexagonal profile to allow quick installation of blades or other accessories.
Operate as follows (see figure 6)
a) Carefully clean the shafts of the cutters and accessories
(2) by spreading a small amount of grease to facilitate
assembly and future disassembly.
b) Insert the milling shaft into the accessory shaft and fix
it with the appropriate fixing screw (3) equipped with
a spring clamp;
c) Bearing the following in mind:
-
The cutting part of the blade must be
towards the front of the machine.
-
When working on sandy ground or without
stones, install the 2 cutters so that the blades
are opposed, on both sides of the machine,
placed on the same axis (detail A).
-
When working on stony ground, install
the two cutters so that the blades are
opposed, on both sides of the machine, to
compensate each other (detail B).
INSTALLATION OF PROTECTIVE FENDERS
ATTENTION: The installation of the
extended protective fenders is a safety
measure and they must be in place
before using the motor hoe.
a) Attach the fixed mudguard, if not installed, with the
three fixing nuts (Fig. 7: Part 1).
b) Remove the three screws (2) and remove the mobile
fender (3) from the fixing, then secure it again with
screws.
DEPTH LIMITER ADJUSTMENT
To obtain best performance and a correct advance of the motor
hoe, regulate the spur as indicated below (see figure 9):
a) Regulation for a hard terrain: loosen the screw (1) and lift the
spur so that the weight counteracts the weight of the motor
hoe.
b) Adjustment for soft floors: loosen the screw (1) and lower the
spur to move the weight of the motor hoe on the blades.
