Slowly push the food waste into the Wasteminator II. Use the plug to push the waste
down, NEVER use your fingers.
5.
Leave the Wasteminator II on until all the waste is grinded. The sound will change mar-
kedly when all waste is grinded.
6.
Turn off the Wasteminator II
7.
Let the water run for at least 15 seconds before turning it off. This is done to ensure that all
waste passes through the drain.
8.
Place the plug back in the drain.
NOTE: If anything gets stuck in the Wasteminator II during use, turn off the Wasteminator II
immediately and follow the instructions in the section JAMMED ITEMS on page 49.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTE: Always disconnect power to the Wasteminator II before any cleaning and maintenance.
CLEANING
ALWAYS check that the power supply to the Wasteminator II is disconnected before cleaning.
NOTE: It is not enough that the on/off switch on the Wasteminator II is switched off.
Clean the drain and the rubber stopper with a cloth dampened with water and a fat-dissolving
cleaning agent. Be sure to wipe both the top and bottom side of the rubber stopper thoroughly
to prevent food residues that sit on the rubber plug.
To clean the grinder in the Wasteminator II, observe the following steps:
1.
Insert the plug in the drain so that it closes the drain completely.
2.
Half fill the sink with hot water.
3.
Dissolve 60 ml of baking powder in the hot water.
4.
Turn the Wasteminator II on and remove the plug at the same time.
5.
Turn off the Wasteminator II when the water has passed through. NOTE: The Wastemina-
tor II must not be on when there is no water left in the sink.

If the motor stops without the Wasteminator II being switched off, this may be due to a jammed
