Product description
The BW-SL 154 features a self-learning module.
The self-learning module:
automatically identifi es the user's hot water consumption patterns within a short time.
It identifi es when hot water is needed and provides it proactively. Using the rotary
knob, the users can adjust the comfort setting to their specifi c needs. A LED indicator
shows the operating status of the pump.
automatically identifi es deviations from the "standard" pattern, e.g. weekends, ab-
sence and clockchange.
automatically detects the thermal disinfection times
switches the pump on once a day for hygienic reasons if user is absent.
The pump running times can be reduced to a minimum with the BW-SL 154. This does
not contradict DVGW working paper W 551, since the protection required against the
growth of legionellae is attained through regular thermal disinfection
automatically by the BW-SL 154.

Cable box with temperature sensor and sensor cable
1 cable tie (can be reopened) for fi xing the cable box
3 cable ties for fi xing the sensor cable
Insulating cover for pump housing

Description of functions
How does the pump learn?
Hot water is tapped. The direct line warms up, which is detected by the temperature
sensor in the cable box. The time hot water was tapped is learned.
How long does the pump run?
That depends on the comfort setting. After installation or after a reset of the self-learn-
ing module, the pump runs between 10 and 20 minutes. The running times have been
optimised after around a week and the pump runs between 5 and 10 minutes then.
How does the pump work at weekends?
After around 2 weeks of use the weekend time has been detected.
On these days the pump only runs "on request".
How long does the pump run for a disinfection run?
The pump runs until the return pipe does not warm up any more. The pump will run
for at least 20 minutes.
What happens in times of absence?
If 10 learned hot water requests are not confi rmed by tapping, or - at the latest - after
18 hours without tapping, automatic starting of the pump is deactivated. When hot
water is tapped again, the rhythm which was active before is activated again
(including weekend mode).
How can the learned pump runs be deleted (reset)?
The self-learning module forgets the learned patterns if the power supply is inter-
rupted for a few seconds (reset).
