The distance between the chain (1) teeth is 1/4". Therefore, use a file with a 4 mm diameter as well as a flat one.

Always sharpen the file starting from the inner part of the cutting side towards the outer part. Keep the inclination of
the cutting edge.
•
After sharpening, all the teeth must have the same size (length and width).
File in the indicated direction
Put the depth calliper in stable position on the chain (1), so that the depth marker protrudes. File its protruding part till
it reaches the same level as the depth calliper. Round the front angle of the depth marker.
Each 3 or 4 chain (1) sharpening operations check and, if necessary, file the depth adjusting device by means
of a flat file, then round its tip.

End of work maintenance at the end of the task
•
Follow all the maintenance instructions described in the manual.
•
Empty the oil reservoir (16) and close its plug (14).
•
Remove the cutting residues (sawdust) from the front cover (5), then reassemble and perfectly clean the tool.
•
Insert the cutting bar into its guard (17).
Periodically disassemble the front guard (5) and eliminate the cutting residues which could obstacle the tool
perfect performance.
