ings and instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in electric
shock, fi re and/or serious injury.
SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR
FUTURE REFERENCE.
In the warnings, the term "power tool" refers to electrical tools
powered by the electrical grid (with a cord) or to electrical
tools powered by batteries (cordless).
1) SAFETY IN THE WORK AREA
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Messy or
dark areas promote accidents.
b) Do not operate the power tool in explosive
atmospheres where fl ammable liquids, gases
or dust are present. Power tools create sparks which
may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and observers away when you
operate the power tool. Distractions can cause you
to lose control over the device.

2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY

a) The electrical device's plug must match the
outlet. Never alter the plug in any way. Never
use any sort of adapter plug on earthed
(grounded) electrical devices. Unmodifi ed plugs
and appropriate outlets decrease the risk of electric
shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed (grounded)
surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed (grounded).
c) Never set electrical devices out in rain or wet
environments. If water gets into the electrical device,
the risk of electric shock increases.
d) Do not overload the cord. Never use the cord
to carry the electrical device or pull the cord
to unplug the device. Keep the cord away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric
shock.
e) When operating an electrical device out-
doors, use an extension cord suitable for
outdoor use. Using cords suitable for outdoor use
decreases the risk of electric shock.
