SURFACE CONDUIT MOUNTING
NOTE: to avoid interference with components in the housing, use the most compact wire connectors appropriate to the wire
gauge.
PREPARING THE UNIT FOR CONDUIT :
1
Remove the conduit plug from inside. The
unit is threaded to accept 1/2" NPT threads
(14 TPI), which are common in rigid conduit
and EMT connector products. Rigid conduit
or EMT fittings can be directly threaded into
the housing without the need for a locknut.
For wet locations, use an approved wet
location fitting.
Sized for ½" conduit
* A right-angle screwdriver may be required to break
the plug from the paint
FINAL ASSEMBLY
Ensure all wires and connectors are routed
1
to avoid interference with other components.
Line up the alignment pins (located at
diagonally opposite corners of the front
housing) with the mating receptacles (two on
the rear housing).

BRANCH CIRCUIT WIRING :
2
The wiring compartment is sized for (3) incoming 12 AWG
wires and (3) outgoing 12 AWG wires and common wire
connectors. If your branch circuit is a larger AWG or you have
a need for a through-wire application, install the branch circuit
raceway such that you do not have to pass the circuit through
the fixture.
Open
(Clockwise) *
To properly close the unit, it is important to push the cover
2
straight onto the rear housing. If the pins are not aligned with
the receptacles, the housing will not close properly. Make sure
there are no gaps between the front and rear housings. If gap
is present, open the unit and reinstall the front housing.
