1.0 InTRoducTIon
The instructions in this document are applicable to the following
TSP swivel models:
TSP100 and TSP100MK - For use with Enerpac S1500, S3000,
W2000 and W4000 hydraulic torque wrenches.
TSP200 and TSP200MK - For use with Enerpac S6000, S11000,
S25000, W8000 and W15000 hydraulic torque wrenches.
• Models TSP100 and TSP200 include the swivel assembly.
Models TSP100MK and TSP200MK include the swivel assembly,
the swivel manifold post, and four retaining bolts.
• A swivel retainer ring and three manifold post O-Rings are
packed loose with all TSP models. In addition, models TSP100MK
and TSP200MK include two O-Rings to be installed under the
manifold post. To ensure reliable operation, be sure to replace the
existing parts with the provided parts as instructed in sections 2.0
and 4.0.
• Hydraulic fittings are not included with the TSP swivel. However,
the nipple, adapter and coupling from the existing swivel can be
re-installed on the TSP swivel as described in Section 3.0. If the
existing hydraulic fittings are not in reusable condition, new fittings
can be purchased from Enerpac.
• Refer to the parts diagram on page 2 of this document when
performing the procedures in sections 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0.
Important: Wipe all surfaces clean before beginning the following
procedures. Take every precaution to prevent dirt from entering
the wrench. Dirt entry may result in damage to wrench and/or
erratic wrench operation.
WARnInG: Always disconnect both hydraulic hoses
from the wrench before beginning any of the following
procedures.
2.0 RePLAcInG An exISTInG SWIveL WITh The
TSP100 oR TSP200:
1.
Remove the retainer ring from the top of the manifold post.
Using a pair of screwdrivers, gently pry the existing swivel
off of the manifold post.
2.
Check that the four retaining bolts securing the manifold
post are tight. See Section 4.0, step 6, for torque values.
3.
Remove and discard the two manifold block O-Rings and
the swivel post O-Ring. Replace them with the new O-Rings
Instruction Sheet
TSP Pro Series Swivel
provided with the TSP swivel.
4.
Before continuing with step 5 of this section, reinstall the
existing coupling, nipple and adaptor onto the TSP swivel.
Refer to the instructions in Section 3.0.
5.
Coat the manifold post and manifold block O-Rings with
silicone grease. Carefully slide the TSP swivel over the O-
Rings and fully onto the manifold post.
6.
Install the new retainer ring provided with the TSP swivel.
7.
Connect hoses and cycle the wrench at 1,000 psi [69 bar]
to check for oil leaks. If there are no leaks, cycle the wrench
at 10,000 psi [700 bar] and check again for leaks. If leaks
are present, the source of the leakage must be identified
and corrected before using wrench.
3.0 ReuSInG The couPLInG, nIPPLe And AdAPToR:
cAuTIon: Use only a vice with soft jaws to hold the
swivel when removing and installing hydraulic fittings in
the following steps. To prevent possible damage to
wrench, never attempt to tighten the hydraulic fittings while the
swivel is installed on the wrench.
Reinstall the coupling, nipple and adaptor from the existing
swivel onto the TSP swivel as described in the following steps:
1.
Place the existing swivel in a vice with soft jaws, and remove
the coupling, nipple and adaptor.
2.
In preparation for reinstallation, remove any deposits of
dried thread sealant remaining on the coupling, nipple or
adaptor.
3.
Place the TSP swivel in a vice with soft jaws.
Important: Inspect all components before reassembly. Always
replace any worn or damaged parts with new ones.
4.
Coat the threads on the coupling with Loctite 577 thread
sealant. Thread the coupling into the retract port (marked
"B"). Torque to 30-37 ft-lbs [40 to 50 Nm].
5.
Coat the threads on both ends of the adaptor with Loctite
577 thread sealant. Thread the nipple onto one end of
the adaptor. Thread the other end of the adaptor into the
advance port (marked "A"). Torque these items to 30-37
ft-lbs [40 to 50 Nm].
6.
To allow the sealant sufficient time to cure, wait a minimum
period of 3 hours at 68 to 104°F [20 to 40°C], or 6 hours at
