The heat shield will be able to rotate freely, as shown in
the illustration.

Install Appliance

9 WARNING
Before you plug in an electrical cord or turn on
power supply, make sure all controls are in the OFF
position.
1.
Connect the connection cable to the control cable in
the socket on the bottom of the appliance. The plug
must snap into place.
2.
The appliance must be secured from below using the
hold-down brackets provided, so it does not slip.
Position the appliance so that the screws provided are
seated loosely in the holes.
3.
Move the hold-down brackets so that the appliance
can be placed in the cutout.
4.
Place the appliance carefully into the cutout.
9 CAUTION
– Do not let the glass drop into place. Make sure that
it is supported along a broad area of the edges
when carefully placing the cooktop into the cutout.
– Do not pinch or kink the connecting cable or route
it over sharp edges. If the cooktop is installed over
a built-under oven, route the cable on the rear
corners of the oven to the power outlet. The cable
must be installed such that it does not come into
contact with any hot pars of the cooktop or oven.
5.
Insert the clamping screws into the hold-down
brackets and secure the appliance to the countertop.
Tighten the screws.
NOTICE
Protect delicate countertops by placing a wooden disk
underneath.
