Preparation
■ Before operating the appliance and
accessories for the first time, clean
t horoughly; see "Cleaning and servicing".
■ Place motor block on smooth, stable and
clean base.
■ Unwind the cable to the required length.
Blender
The blender is suitable for
– blending and frothing liquids,
– cutting and chopping raw fruit, vegeta-
bles, nuts and chocolate,
– puréeing soups, cooked fruit and
vegetables,
– preparing mayonnaise and sauces.
The appliance is suitable for preparing the
following quantities:
Solid food
Liquids
Hot or frothing liquids
W Risk of injury from sharp blades/
rotating drive!
Never place fingers in the attached blender
jug. Never operate the appliance without a
completely assembled blender or attached
lid! Do not remove or attach blender jug until
the appliance has been switched off and
the drive has come to a standstill. When the
appliance has been switched off, the blade
continues running briefly.
W Risk of scalding!
If processing hot liquids, steam escapes
through the funnel in the lid. Pour maximum
0.5 litres of hot or frothing liquid into the
blender jug.
Warning!
Never operate an empty blender. Always
work with a completely assembled appli-
ance. Screw the blender jug fully onto the
motor block.

■ Put blender jug down with the base face
up.
■ Place seal on the blade holder. Ensure
that the seal is positioned correctly.
Important information
If the seal is damaged or not correctly posi-
tioned, liquid may run out.
■ Grip blade holder by the handle and
insert into the blender jug.
Note shape of the parts (Fig. B-2a)!
■ Move handle (Fig. B-2b). This locks the
blade holder in the blender jug.
■ Turn blender jug over.
■ Attach blender jug to the drive on the
motor block. Arrow on the blender jug
points towards the dot on the motor
block.
■ Attach blender blender jug by turning it
all the way clockwise.
■ Add ingredients.

■ Put lid on and press down all the way.

Insert measuring cup into feed tube.

■ Insert the mains plug.
■ Switch on the appliance: set the rotary
switch to on.
■ Turn rotary switch to the required oper-
ating speed.

■ Press required quick-selection button
(T or U).
■ Grip the edge of the lid while operating
the blender. Do not grip the feed tube!
