cable. Once the final parts 031098 and 001012 have been fastened, cover the ends of the cables with
adhesive tape to prevent them from unravelling whilst being cut. Cut the cables at a distance of 15 mm from
parts 034041. Remove the tape and cover with parts 034042 and 001011 (Fig. 1 - 11).
Final assembly
35. To further reinforce the staircase at intermediate points, fix components 033010 to wall and join to the
balusters, using components 033056. Drill with an 8 mm bit and use components 008004, 011053,
011057, 005035 (Fig. 12) (Fig. 13).
Assembly of 020 railing
36. Fit parts BE9 into holes on treads with edge facing upwards (Fig. 2).
37. Starting from the top, fit balusters 127002, with parts BF1 and 002040, onto corner treads with a height of
about 99 cm.
38. Cut a piece of baluster 127002 to length to obtain spacers to connect treads. Insert lateral connection
spacers and secure with components 001013 at top and at bottom.
39. Definitively tighten component 005008 (Fig. 5).
40. Cut sections of handrail 140053 to length; assemble with part 046011 placing part 031076 between them.
For optimal fixing, the handrail must follow about 1/8 of a turn from the contact point.
41. Fix handrail to balusters with parts 002031; keep balusters vertical. Insert angle parts 031061, 031071
and 031072 with screws 012014 and 001017 for changes of direction. Apply end caps 031061 to ends of
handrail with parts 004034 and 011069 (Fig. 2) (Fig. 12).
42. Fix component BF1 to the floor using an Ø 8 mm bit and so that it corresponds to the first baluster. Use
elements 011053, 008004, and 001004 (Fig. 2). Assemble the reinforcing component 046050.
43. Determine position of intermediate balusters. Drill with a 4.5 mm bit; assemble parts BF1 with screw
002040.
44. Cut intermediate balusters at a height that can be determined on the staircase itself. Insert balusters in
parts BF1, tighten components 001004 and fix to handrail with parts 002031; keep balusters vertical (Fig.
2) (Fig. 12).
Assembly of 020 balustrade
45. Screw component 033063 on to brace 046036 with the 011038 screws (Fig. 2). Cut the 121028 post at 90 cm,
assemble it with the 033149 fixing component and items 011063 and 005036, insert it into component
033063 and fix it with items 001004, positioning the 033149 tie according to the direction of the handrail.
46. Position components 033146 on landing, using components 002040 and 001004. Drill landing with a 4.5 mm
bit, keeping a distance between centres of no more than 12 cm.
47. Position balusters 127004 and tighten component 001004 (Fig. 2).
48. Fix straight handrail 140053 using components 002031 (Fig. 2).
49. Depending on position and presence of walls around the stairwell, it may be necessary to position one or two
extra balusters 127004.
50. In this case, a space must be considered that is at the same distance from the other balusters or from the
wall. Drill landing with a 5 mm bit and assemble with components 033146, 001004 and 002040 (Fig. 2).
51. Assembly of floor-mounted balustrade, if applicable (Fig. 14)
Determine the position of the posts on the floor, on average one every 12 cm and at a distanza of 8 cm
from the edge. Drill with a Ø 12 mm bit and assemble components 033146 with items 008007. Fix the
first balustrade balusters (H= 910 mm) using component 033010 and items 008004, 011053, 033056
and 031066 (drill with an Ø 8 mm bit). Insert the remaining 127004 balustrade balusters (H= 910 mm)
into the 033146 components, with the 126034 reinforcing baluster and components 031066 about every
metre, and lock them with components 001004. Assemble the 140053 handrails to the balusters with the
002031 components using items 031076 and 046011. Assemble any 031061, 031072, 031071 connecting
components and the 031061 terminal components (Fig. 12).
Final assembly
52. To further reinforce the staircase at intermediate points, fix components 033010 to wall and join to the
balusters, using components 033056 and 031066. Drill with an 8 mm bit and use components 008004,
011053, 011057, 005035 (Fig. 12).
