To Adjust the 0° Bevel Stop
1. Unplug the miter saw.
2. Lock the cutting head in the down position, then rotate the
miter table to the 0° mark.
3. Push the cutting head back towards the rear of the saw as far
as it will go and tighten the slide locking knob securely.
4. Release the bevel lock lever by pulling it upwards (1).
5. Move the saw head bevel to the left position with the 90
degree stop block to its vertical position (2).
6. Rotate the miter saw head back to the right until it contacts
the stop block.
7. Maintain control over the saw head by holding the D-handle
when making the following adjustments.
8. Place a small, highly accurate square on the base of the saw.
Align the vertical part of the square with the blade, making
sure the square does not contact the saw teeth. You might
need to manually turn the blade or push the saw cutting head
down slightly to avoid the saw teeth from interfering with the
square.
9. Loosen the 0° bevel nut (3), which is located to the left of the
0° positive stop block, and adjust as follows:
a. If a gap appears between the lower portion of the blade
and the vertical square arm turn the bevel adjustment
hex screw (4), counter-clockwise until the blade and
square align. Retighten the bevel adjustment nut. Make
sure hex screw does not move during this process.
Engage the bevel lock lever and validate proper
alignment.
b. If a gap appears between the upper portion of the blade
and the vertical square arm, turn the bevel adjustment
hex screw clockwise until the blade and square align.
Retighten the bevel adjustment nut, taking care that the
hex screw does not move during this process. Engage
the bevel lock lever and validate proper alignment.
10. Using a Phillips screw driver, loosen the bevel indicator and
position its red line directly over the 0° marking on the bevel
scale (5), then retighten the screw.
To Adjust the 45° LEFT Bevel Stop.
Follow the directions for adjusting the 0° bevel stop except:
1. Disengage the bevel positive stop by placing it in the horizontal position.
2. Release the lock lever bevel and tilt the saw head completely to the left.
