INSTALLATION OF THE BAR CHAIN / GUIDE SAW
ATTENTION: When handling the saw chain, always wear work gloves to protect yourself from
sharp edges.
1.
Remove the retaining nuts from the bar and screw in. Then remove the sprocket cover. (Fig. 3A)
2.
Prepare the chain and bar.

Pass the saw chain over the drive wheel with the cutting edges of the chain pointing in the direction of
rotation (Figure 3B).
4.
Adjust the tension adjustment screw to allow for insertion of the bar (Fig. 3C). Make sure it follows the
groove in the guide bar and adjusts the tension adjustment screw (Fig. 3D) so that the chain is tightened.
5.
Install the sprocket cover and tighten the bar retaining nuts and screw (Fig. 3A).

SAW CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMENT
Proper saw chain tension is extremely important! and should be checked before starting and during any cutting
operation. Taking the time to make the necessary adjustments to the saw chain will result in better cutting performance
and extend the life of the chain.
ATTENTION: A new chain and bar must be readjusted after only 5 cuts. This is normal during the
running-in period, and the interval between future adjustments will be quickly extended.
