Fitting instructions
By loosening the Velcro fastening in the fitted central area, both parts of the
brace can be pushed together. Therefore, the clasp can be set to the individual
circumference from 21 cm to 35 cm steplessly. Here, ensure that the two widened
areas of the clasp attached on the upper and lower side of the arm are placed
as close as possible to opposite each other. The pad can be placed freely using
the Velcro fastener. For correct positioning, observe the markings printed on the
support. The narrower area of the pad should point towards the elbow joint. Thread
the Velcro tape through the plastic eyelet and then position the clasp on the lower
arm. The pad should exert pressure on the muscle belly which leads from the hand
to the elbow. The muscle belly can be clearly felt when you make a fist. The BORT
EpiContur clasp should only exert pressure on this muscle if you make a fist or
grasping movement. If the hand is relaxed, the clasp should be placed on the pad
without noticeable pressure. Close the Velcro fastener so that the clasp fits closely
but causes no congestion.
Removal
To remove the epicondylitis brace, loosen the Velcro tape, increase the
circumference and remove the brace in the direction of the hand.
