ND 1723-2 61-614 Instructions
To Measure AC Voltage:
• Set the rotary switch to the highest range in the ACV function.
• Insert the red test lead fully into the V input jack on the meter and fully seat
the black test lead into the COM input jack on the meter.
• Hold the test leads behind the finger guards and apply the lead tips in parallel
to the circuit under test.
• Follow the MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE on page 4 to maximize accuracy and
prevent over-ranging of the pointer.
• Read the AC voltage measurement using the ACV labeled red arc (third arc
from the top).
CAUTION: For maximum safety, do not hold the meter in your
hands while measuring higher voltages using the 250 and 1000
ACV ranges.
To Measure DC Voltage:
• Set the rotary switch to the highest range in the DCV function.
• Read the DC voltage measurement using the DCV labeled black arc (second
arc from the top).
CAUTION: For maximum safety, do not hold the meter in your
hands while measuring higher voltages using the 250 and 1000
DCV ranges.
