Installation Considerations
Inspect

before beginning installation. Make sure that you
have all tools and supplies needed to complete the
installation.

• Protection against backflow is provided by check
valves.
• Do not install this showerpipe in a steam shower.
• Make sure that the wall is strong enough to support
the showerpipe. The wall must be reinforced at the
mounting points. The area where the top mounting
piece is to be installed must be flat and free of
protruding grout joints, etc.

• This showerpipe is for use with shower heads rated
at 1.1 GPM (4.2 L/min) or higher.
• To prevent scald injury, the maximum output
temperature of the shower valve must be no
higher than 120°F (49°C). In Massachusetts, the
maximum output temperature can be no higher than
112°F (44°C).
This showerpipe must not be used as a grab
bar. If a grab bar is required, install one
separately.
The shower arm is intended to hold the
showerhead only. Do not use it to hold
other objects.
• Keep this booklet and the receipt (or other proof
of date and place of purchase) for this product in
a safe place. The receipt is required should it be
necessary to request warranty parts.
