The work positioning lanyard is certified according to EN-358:1999, EN
354:2010, EN 795B:2012 and according to PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
The main task of the lanyard is to prevent a person from falling from a high
level to a lower level of 0.5 meters or more, or to prevent the person from a
fall risk environment. The lanyard normally has no energy absorbing function
effect, if it is not marked with a standard like EN 353-2 or similar. Suitable
connection points on the harness or belt is the side D-rings from one side to
another. Even a central connection point is suitable to use on the harness if
the risk analysis says this is ok. The lanyard is suitable for connecting to or
around a structure also connected back in its own part in hitched function.
Lanyard should be used in stretch mode for all types of use.
The lanyard is also certified according to EN 354 connecting lanyard and
EN 795 anchorpoint. These functions are illustraded in the pictogram and
should not be used outside of this recommendations.
The lanyard is suitable for users up to a weight of 140 kg. The lanyard is
available with large and small hooks with both CE and ANSI approvel.
The lanyard's breaking strength is strongly dependent on different application
areas. The material is 12 mm polyamide kernmantle rope used in products
for edge approval work. EN 358 15 kN, EN 354 26 kN, EN 795 32 kN.
Warning! Work in a fall protection environment requires that the user is fully
fit (ref EN-365), has completed training in the use of the equipment and is
aware of the risks that can arise. Prior to starting to work in fall risk
environment, plans shall be made for how to evacuate a person who has
fallen or been injured and/or possibly been left hanging in the harness. If you
are unsure, contact your dealer or the manufacturer for further information.
Before each use: Carry out a careful visual check of the material and
function and ensure that the equipment works. Be careful in relation to tape
breaches, broken seams/stitching, cut damage, discoloration, damaged
D-rings and buckles, and the function of eyelets and wraps.
Warning! The product is only for Personal Protection Equipment use. All
other usage is forbidden. If possible, each user shall have their own personal
harness (ref EN-365). It is important that the user visually checks their
equipment prior to use (self-check).
Warning! Prior to using the product for the first time, the harness should be
correctly fitted to the individual worker. The fitting must take place in a safe
location to ensure the right size, that there is an adequate degree of
adjustment and an acceptable level of comfort for the work that is to be
carried out.

Warning! If the equipment has been subjected to a fall the product shall
immediately be discarded and replaced or inspected by competent person.
NOTE! The material or its function can be affected if it is exposed to:
extremely high temperature (>100c), chemicals, electrical current, grinding,
cutting, abrasion against sharp edges and exposure to weather.
Warning! That no-one works alone where there is a risk of falling. Ensure
that you are feeling alert and fit for work, have drunk sufficiently and that you
are properly clothed for the conditions.
NOTE! The product's maximum lifecycle is 10 years from the date of first use
(max 2 years' addition from the first production date). Incorrect handling and
wear-and tear can significantly shorten the lifecycle. The product shall be
discarded if it has: corrosion damage, several thread breakages, discoloured,
heavy wear-and-tear, corroded metal parts or if it lacks functionality and
marking (ask Cresto if unsure).
