• Always keep hands and fingers clear of the Fowler backrest release handles and the Fowler backrest frame when you
lower the Fowler backrest.
• Always use caution when you raise a pneumatic Fowler backrest while a patient is on the product. Use proper lifting
techniques and get help, if necessary.
To raise the Fowler backrest, squeeze the red Fowler backrest release handle. Pull the Fowler backrest up to the desired
position.
To lower the Fowler backrest, squeeze the red Fowler backrest release handle. Push the Fowler backrest down to the
desired position.
N N o o t t e e - - You can operate the Fowler backrest from both ends of the product litter. This allows the patient to be reversed on
the product when taking X-rays.
