ThIS FUEL PUMP IS INTENdEd STRICTLy FOR AUTOMOTIVE USE ANd NOT APPROVEd FOR AIRCRAFT OR MARINE USE
Replacement procedures found in this instruction sheet will assist you in performing the necessary fuel pump replacement. Additional
procedures, necessary tools and parts will require the manufacturer's FUEL TANK and FUEL PUMP technical repair manual.
NOTE
When the fuel tank straps are loosened or removed, slowly lower the fuel tank to get access to the lines and tubes. Lowering the fuel tank too
rapidly may cause the tubes or lines on the module to break or pull on the wiring harness and damage the connector. Before removing the fuel
pump from the tank, make a positioning mark on the top flange of the fuel pump and the tank for a proper reassembly later.
Basic hand tools are necessary to accomplish the repair. Any fuel spill must be handled and cleaned immediately. Consult the manufacturer's
technical repair manuals for proper procedures.

possible fire hazard.
Consult the repair manual to proceed with system
depressurization or disconnect the fuel pump
connector near the fuel tank. Disconnecting the
fuel pump relay will not prevent the vehicle from starting and keeping the system pressurized. Most of the vehicles using this pump will have a
connector that is near the fuel tank and connects at the vehicle floor section.
Once the fuel pump is disconnected, start the engine. The engine will start and stall within a few seconds.
Once the engine has stalled, turn the key to the off position and disconnect the battery.
Remove the fuel tank as described in the repair manual.
