2. Safety information

2.1 Proper use

Lifters and manual winch stackers of the specified types are to be used for the following
applications:
- The lifters are used to lift loads at working height and support light stacking tasks in the
commercial and industrial sector.
- For certain types of equipment, exchangeable apparatus, referred to here as load
carriers, is made available for the optimum reception of loads.
- Load carriers are:
1. Mandrel (especially for holding rollers – type HS1590-DO)
2. Fork (especially for holding stacking crates – type HS1590-KA)
3. Adjustable fork (especially for holding stacking crates of different sizes – type HS1590-
KV)
3. Sheet metal loading area (for other materials type HS1590-PL)
- The load carriers have different maximum load-carrying capacities
- The maximum permissible load and the specified load centre must be adhered to.
- The upward movement is effected by turning the crank to the right. The downward
movement is effected by turning the crank to the left
- Carefully unfold the crank handle when using the equipment. Carefully fold in the crank
handle when the equipment is not in use
- For information on the load-carrying capacity of the load carriers, refer to the type plate
on the load carrier and the load table located in the upper visible area of the frame.
- The equipment must be moved slowly and evenly
- The product may only be used in a fully assembled state
- The product may only be used if it is in perfect condition
- The equipment is only suitable for indoor use under normal room temperature
- The equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
- Warnings on the equipment must be observed
- Use only by instructed personnel
