How often should I clean the thermometer?
The lens should be cleaned before and after each use, to eliminate
earwax and fingerprints and ensure the accuracy of your readings.
Use an alcohol swab, or a soft cotton swab moistened with 70%
isopropyl alcohol, to gently cleanse the probe lens and thermometer
casing. Never use a paper towel to clean your thermometer, as it may
scratch the lens. Do not use cleaning agents other than alcohol to
clean the thermometer; abrasives, thinners or gasoline will damage
the unit. Do not immerse the thermometer or allow liquid to enter
the casing.
Is the thermometer waterproof?
The probe tip is waterproof, but other parts of the unit (such as the
display, battery cover, or buttons) are vulnerable to water damage.

Can the thermometer be used on infants?
What about the elderly?
The thermometer is safe and accurate for all ages, and is especially
beneficial for use in infants and children due to it's non-invasive
nature and the speed with which a reading can be taken. Keep in
mind, illness may be present even without an elevated
temperature, particularly in the elderly, in infants under 3 months
of age, and those with compromised immune systems. If illness is
apparent without a fever, consult with a healthcare professional.
Never leave children unsupervised with a thermometer.
