Servicing
1. OIL
The oil level should be checked every six months. The following oil types are to be used
depending on the temperature conditions.
Temperature
Oil
-5°C – approx. +45° C
-15°C - approx. - 5° C
-25°C – approx. –15°C
NOTE: the properties and quality of the oils conform to standard DIN 51524 (III)-1990
and ISO/CD 11158-1990.
2. To blow off air
When you replace the seals, air can get into the hydraulic oil. This may result in the
forks not rising during the pumping process when the lever is set to "ASCENT". The
air can be removed by setting the control lever (117) to the "LOWER" position and
then moving the handle (110) up and down several times.
3. Daily inspection and servicing
The daily inspection of the unit can limit wear to a large extent. Pay special attention
to the (310, 227, 218), the axles, the lever (110), the forks (201E) and the up and down
control. The forks should always be unladen and in their lowered position after
completing the work.
4. Lubrication
All moving parts should be lubricated at regular intervals with engine oil or grease.
