WARNING
Never operate your saw without bar and chain lubrication. If
the chain runs dry, the cutting attachment will be damaged
beyond repair within a very short time. A damaged chain

Always check chain lubrication and the oil level in the tank
before starting work and periodically during work.

► Disengage the chain brake, @ 16.2.
► Point the guide bar toward a bright surface.
► Switch on the chain saw, @ 18.1.
The saw chain should throw off a small amount of oil.
If the chain lubrication oil cannot be seen, check the oil
tank for chain lubrication oil.
Refill the tank as necessary.
