Always unplug the charging cable from the power supply

Assembly
Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn
unit off and keep away from the on-off button before making
any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or
accessories. An accidental start-up can cause injury.
Charging procedure (fig. A)
Warning! Do not use tool while it is connected to the charger.
Insert the charging plug (10) into the charge port (8).

Plug the charging plug into any charging port (such as on
u
a computer).
The green charging LEDs (9) will flash while charging.
u
One will flash with a low charge.
Two will flash with a medium charge.
Three will flash with a high charge.
All LEDs will remain on when tool is fully charged.
u
Battery can be left charging or charger can be
u
disconnnected.
Important charging notes
The charger and tool may become warm to the touch
u
while charging.
This is a normal condition, and does not indicate a
problem. To facilitate the cooling of the tool after use,
avoid placing the charger or tool in a warm environment
such as in a metal shed or an uninsulated trailer.
If the tool does not charge properly, take the tool and
u
charger to your local service center.
You may charge a partially used battery whenever you
u
desire with no adverse effect on the tool.
Removing and Installing Head (Fig. B)
To remove head, pull release button (7) back and slide the
u
head (6) out.
To install, line up head with ribs and slide down until
u
release button clicks into place.
O-Blade: For cutting flexible, softer materials such as cotton
fabric, corrugated cardboard, felt, carpet backing, and rose
stems.

D-Blade: For cutting rigid tougher materials such as solid
cardboard, plastic sheets, and tin sheets.
Operation
Warning! To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn

Warning! Cut hazard. Keep fingers away from blades.
Warning! Always use proper eye protection that while
operating this power tool.
Note: Before cutting any type of material, be sure it is firmly
anchored or clamped to prevent slipping.
Always hold cutter firmly while cutting.

Lightly place blade against work to be cut as shown in Fig.

To switch the tool on, pull the trigger (1) as shown in Fig.
u
D.
Press the lock out button (2) once to make the tool turn on
u
and remain on.
To switch the tool off, release the trigger.
u
Warning! Burn hazard. Do not touch the the blade
immediately after use. Contact with the blade may result in
personal injury.
Approved materials
Your unit comes with 2 different scissor blades. Best used with
the appropriate materials per below:
O Blades (best for cutting fabric, and paper).

D Blade (best for cutting cardboard and metal).
u
Metal cutting (Fig. E)
Warning! Sheet metal edges can be razor sharp and extreme
caution must be used when working with this material.
ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES while working with sheet metal.
Only thin guage metals
u
Avoid forcing cutting blades as this reduces blade life and
u
causes costly blade damage.
Use your free hand to roll material to be discarded out of
u
the way as cutting progresses as shown in Fig. E.
Project tips
Cut only with sharp blades; they cut cleaner, faster, and
u
put less strain on the motor while cutting.
When cutting materials with adhesive backing (vinyl floor
u
tile, etc.) periodically clean blades; adhesive residue will
build up on blades reducing the quality of cut and strain
the motor.
When cutting carpet or other fibrous materials periodically
u
clean fibers out from in between the blades; built up
fibers will reduce the shearing action thereby reducing the
quality of cut and strain the motor.
