ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Make sure the indications and figures on the welder are always legible and clear.
The mains cable and the weld cables must be insulated and in perfect working order. Pay special attention to the
points where they bend: near the connecting terminals, the ground grippers and the gun inlet.
Keep the weld current connectors clean and clamped to sockets 7 and 8 (see page 41).
The contact of the grippers for the base metal connection must be good to avoid overheating, sparks, unbalanced
current circulation, damage to the component to which the pins are welded and, lastly, welds of inconstant quality.
Do not let any dirt, dust or file dust seep into the welder.
Make sure the cooling air circulates at all times.
Check that the fan works efficiently.
Check that the grippers clamp the pins, studs, broaches or fastons tightly with all the contact springs (see page 42).
The gripper mandrel should be free to run for its entire stroke without any interference due to friction or foreign matter.
The dust guard (10 page 40) (code 88087) of the gun must not be damaged.

SPECIAL MAINTENANCE

Any maintenance operations required inside the gun or inside the welder are to be performed exclusively by specialized
technicians or technicians recommended by us. The dealer of this system will surely be able to advise you.
Open the welder: wait at least 5 minutes after having turned it off and unplug it from the mains. Remove the 4 screws
and the 6 screws, slowly raise the cover 88211-88231 and remove the PE protective conductor (reconnect it before
closing the cover).
Use a voltmeter to check that capacitors 88016 - 88126 (Exploded View Table) have discharged.
Carefully clean the machine by removing dust, fragments and metallic file dust using air.
Different error codes named as E... and lighting on the display identify some working problems
