WARNINGS
1) Do not apply stimulation over open wounds or rashes, or over swollen, red, infected, or inflamed areas or skin eruptions (e.g., phlebitis,
thrombophlebitis, varicose veins);
2) Do not apply stimulation over, or in proximity to, cancerous lesions;
3) Do not apply stimulation in the presence of electronic monitoring equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ECG alarms), which may not operate
properly when the electrical stimulation device is in use;
4) Do not apply stimulation when is in the bath or in the shower;
5) Do not apply stimulation during sleep; and
6) Do not apply stimulation while the patient is driving, operating machinery, or during any activity in which electrical stimulation can put
the patient at risk of injury.
7) Consult with your doctor before using this device, because the device may cause cardiac rhythm in susceptible individuals; and
8) Apply stimulation only to normal, intact, clean, healthy skin.
9) Patients with arterial or venous thrombosis or thrombophlebitis are at risk of developing embolisms when electrical stimulation is
applied over or adjacent to the vessels containing the thrombus. If a patient has a history of deep vein thrombosis, even many years
past, the affected area have to not be stimulated. Seek your doctor.
10) Fresh fractures should not be stimulated in order to avoid unwanted motion.
11) Stimulation should not be applied immediately following trauma or to tissues susceptible to hemorrhage.
12) Do not apply electrodes directly over the eyes or inside body cavities.
13) Do not operate in close proximity to shortwave or microwave therapy equipment
14) Do not apply stimulation over the patient's head or neck because this could cause severe muscle spasms resulting in closure of the
airway, difficulty in breathing, or adverse effects on heart rhythm or blood pressure;
15) Do not apply stimulation across the patient's chest, because the introduction of electrical current into the chest may cause rhythm
disturbances to the patient's heart.
16) In case of adverse reactions (irritations/inflammation/burns) consult your doctor immediately.
