3.1. Requirements regarding personnel
The pneumatic cleaning equipment may only be used by experienced
skilled workers and instructed persons who have thoroughly read and un-
derstood these operating instructions. People whose reactions have been
adversely affected by drugs, alcohol, medication or by any other means
are prohibited from handling the cleaning equipment.
3.2. Personal protection gear (PSA)
Always use approved breathing and eye protection, hearing protection
and protective gloves, workwear and safety boots when using the clean-
ing equipment and during cleaning and maintenance work.
3.3. Use in explosive atmospheres
The cleaning equipment is approved for use / storage in explosive atmos-
pheres of ex-zone 1 and 2. Heed the product ID.
3.4. Safety Instructions
Technical status
■ Check the functions and check for any leaks every time before using
the equipment.
■ Never start using the cleaning equipment when damaged or when parts
are missing.
■ Check every time before use and repair if necessary.
■ When damaged, stop using the cleaning equipment immediately and
disconnect it from the compressed air circuit.
■ Never make any unauthorised modifications or technical changes.
Cleaning agents
■ Only use cleaning agents containing solvents.
■ Never use acidic or alkaline cleaning agents or cleaning agents contain-
ing petrol.
■ Never use cleaning agents based on halogenated hydrocarbons.
Connected components
■ Only use original SATA spare parts and accessories.
■ The connected hoses and lines must reliably withstand the thermal,
chemical and mechanical loads expected when using the cleaning
equipment.
■ When pressurised hoses work loose, their whip-like movements can
cause injuries. Always vent the hoses completely before they are loos-
ened.
