Switching on the truck
– Make sure the switch is depressed.
– Insert the key in the key switch and turn it to the right as far as it will go (position "ON")
– Test the warning button.
– The truck is now operational.
– The battery discharge indicator indicates the existing battery charge status.
– Test the braking operation of the tiller.
Pallet trucks without platform (QX 20 EVO fig. 11)
Driving in low speed
Set the control handle to the travel range (s), and press the travel switch in the desired
direction (forward or reverse).
The more the control handle rotates, the faster is the speed.
Driving in high speed
Set the control handle to the travel range (k), and press the travel switch in the desired direction (forward or reverse).
The more the control handle rotates, the faster is the speed. Keeping the travel switch in a position, the speed will change following control handle position from (k)
to (s) (reducing) or from (s) to (k) (increasing)
Pallet trucks with platform (QX 20P EVO fig.12)
The truck has two travel modes:
– Pedestrian mode:
– Push the side arms in, fold up the operator platform (1).
– The truck can only be operated at the reduced travel speed.
– Rider mode:
– Push the side arms out, fold down the operator platform (1). The truck can be operated at
maximum speed.
– Set the tiller (5) to the travel zone (F).
– Turn the controller (4) to the required direction (forward or reverse)
If the side arms are not folded out, the truck can only be operated at reduced speed.
Warning!
If the control handle moves slowly or not at
all to the upper brake zone, the truck must
be taken out of service until the cause of
this fault is be rectified.
Replace the gas pressure spring if
necessary.
Steering
In narrow bends, the driver may extend beyond the geometry of the truck.
– Move the tiller to the left or right.
Braking
The brake behaviour of the truck depends largely on the floor conditions. The driver must take this into account when operating the truck. The truck can be stopped
in three different ways:
– by throttle
– by tiller braking
– with the emergency switch
Throttle braking
When travelling, set the throttle (13 Fig.3) to neutral or to the opposite direction. The truck brakes regeneratively until zero speed if throttle is in neutral or starts to
move in the opposite direction if throttle is reversed. The rate of braking depends on the position on how fast the throttle is brought to neutral or opposite direction
Tiller braking
When the control handle is released, it automatically sets itself to the upper position and the truck is automatically stopped. The tiller can also be forced to the upper
or lower position to bring the truck to a stop.
Emergency switch braking
In case of emergency the truck can be stopped disconnecting the battery pulling out the battery connector (9 fig. 1) in QX 20 EVO or pressing the emergency switch
in QX 20P EVO (5 fig.2)
Lift/lower the truck
Operate the lifting/lowering command (12 fig.3), pulling it to lift the load to the desired height or pushing to lower.
Unsecured and incorrectly positioned loads can cause accidents
·Instruct other people to move out of the hazardous area of the truck. Stop working with the truck if people do not leave the hazardous.
·Only carry loads that have been correctly secured and positioned. Use suitable precautions to prevent parts of the load from tipping or falling down.
·Damaged loads must not be transported.
·Never stand underneath a raised load handler.
·Do not stand on the load handler.
·Do not lift other people on the load handler.
·Insert the forks as far as possible underneath the load.
Parking the truck securely
• Fully lower the load
• Turn off the key switch (3) and remove the key.
• Disconnect the battery by pulling the battery connector (9 fig.1) on QX 20 EVO or by pressing the emergency switch (5 fig.2) on QX 20P EVO
• Fold in the folding side arm and platform (only QX 20P EVO)
The truck is parked.
Warning!
If the throttle moves slowly or not at all
to neutral, the truck must be taken out
of service until the cause of this fault is
be rectified.
Replace the control handle if
necessary.
Warning!
Before lifting a load unit, the driver
must make sure that it has been
correctly stowed and does not exceed
the truck's capacity.
Do not lift long loads at an angle.

Park the truck securely.
Do not parking on an incline.
Always fully lower the forks.
