12 Using the Sprayer

12 Using the Sprayer

12.1 Holding and Controlling the Sprayer

► Carry the sprayer on your back.
► Do not bend over forwards, keep your back straight.
► Hold the sprayer with one hand on the control handle -
wrap your thumb around the handle.

12.2 Filling the tank

► Switch off the sprayer and remove the battery.
► Place the sprayer on the ground so that it cannot tip over.
► Turn the cap (2) counterclockwise until it can be removed.
► Remove the cover (2).
The sieve (1) remains inserted in the opening.
► Check the sealing ring in the cover for damage.
► If the sealing ring is damaged: Do not use the sprayer and
contact a STIHL dealer for assistance.
► Fill with plant protection product up to the uppermost
boundary line (3) at the most.
► Fit the cover (2) on the container.
► Manually rotate the cap (2) clockwise and tighten it
manually.
The container is locked.

12.3 Emptying the Container

► Switch off the sprayer and remove the battery.
► Unscrew lid.
► Remove lid with sieve.
► Empty container in a well-ventilated place so that no
residual quantity remains in the container.
