Getting Power
Unwrap the power cord and insert the plug into a wall outlet. Wrap any excess
cord around the cord spool on the bottom of the Air Purifi er. The cord spool also
has molded clamps to route the cord as needed (Fig. 12).
The Operating Modes
Your Air Purifi er has four modes of operation, controlled by fi ve buttons on the
control panel. Two modes provide continuous operation, and two provide timed
periods of operation. The four modes are described in Operating Modes table; the
functions of the fi ve buttons are summarized in Control Panel Functions table.
OPERATING MODES TABLE
Provides continuous operation until you turn Air Purifi er off
MANUAL
or change to another mode. Fan speed remains the same
Mode
until you change it manually.
Provides continuous operation until you turn Air Purifi er off
AUTO
or change to another mode. Fan speed automatically changes
Mode
in response to input from the Particle Sensor: the dirtier the
air, the higher the fan speed.
NOTE: For maximum air cleaning effectiveness, continuous operation is recommended.
Operates for a specifi ed time period, which you select, at a
TIMER
fan speed you select. At the end of the selected time (from

½ – 12 hours), Air Purifi er turns off.
Provides a burst of cleaning power. Air Purifi er operates
TURBO
at highest speed (turbo) for 30 minutes, then turns off or

returns to the previous mode and speed.
A timed operation is selected when you want the Air Purifi er to operate for a
set amount of time at a specifi ed speed.
