On/Off
The GN 9000 - Bluetooth™ headset can be turned off by pressing simultaneously on the upper and the lower
part of the volume button. A long tone will be heard in the headset (see Technical Data). GN 9010 can be
turned on again by pressing the upper and lower part of the volume button again until a beep is heard in the
headset (see Technical Data). The base unit must also be turned on by pressing the headset/handset button.

Transfer
A call can be transferred from the headset to either the handset or another paired Bluetooth™ device. To
transfer a call from the headset, hold the multifunction button for more than 2 seconds. The on-line indicator on
both the headset and the base unit will switch off. To get the call back to the headset, press the multifunction
button again. The same transfer is available with the headset/handset button
Special instructions for the GN 9000 Digital only:
Including HookSwitch:
To answer or make a call, remove the headset from the base unit. The link will be instantly established and the
on-line indicator (IV) on front of the base unit will light up
0-10 seconds after having removed the headset from the base unit, the on-line indicator (VIII) on the headset
starts fl ashing. The system is now working
You can now move freely up to 20 meters away from the base unit (GN 9000 Digital), depending on the
environment in your offi ce building. If you move out of transmission range, the GN 9000 lets you know by
means of a beep every 10 seconds in your headset (see Technical Data)
To end the call, press the multifunction button for 3 seconds or place the headset in the base unit again
To answer a new call while you are wearing your headset, simply press the multifunction button shortly
Excluding HookSwitch:

Please note that GN 9000 uses radio frequency bands not harmonised within EU. Within the EU the GN
9000 is intended to be used in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy,
Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and within EFTA in Iceland,
Norway and Switzerland.
Never try to dismantle the product yourself. None of the internal components can be replaced or repaired by
users.

Avoid exposing the GN 9000 to rain or other liquids.
The headset is equipped with a rechargeable NiMH battery (nickel-metal-hydride). For replacement of battery,
please contact your vendor.
Please note that when charging the battery, the headset may become warm. This will not effect the safety or
performance of the headset.
