1. Connect a PC to your EtherNet network.
2. Switch the EtherNet system on and put it in a safe state.
If the network does not have a DHCP server, you must first assign your computer
a free IP address from the subnet and the subnet mask.
Use a web browser to exchange data between the PC and the AES module
u
web server. In the address bar, enter the IP address of the AES module.
The AES module IP address is the same as the IP address for EtherNet commu-
nication.
You are now connected to the web server.
4 System configuration
To load the module list:
Click the "System configuration" tab.
u
The list shows all valve system modules that have been detected.
Starting with version V1.26, the software also shows for which modules diagnosis
is activated.

5 Controlling outputs and displaying inputs using
the web server
5.1 Controlling outputs via the web server for test purposes
Starting with software version 1.30, you can use the web browser to control the
valve unit outputs. However, this only works when the unit has not established a
cyclic connection to a control.
Even if the outputs are controlled via the web server, a control can still establish a
cyclic connection to the valve system. Once a cyclic connection has been estab-
lished, the outputs are controlled by the control and not the web server.
Unintentional switching of outputs!
If the control establishes a connection to the AES module while the unit out-
puts are being controlled by the web server, the outputs may switch uninten-
tionally.
Make sure that no control attempts to establish a connection with the unit
u
while you are controlling the outputs via the web server.
Controlling outputs and reading out inputs via the web server is only
intended to test the functionality of the valve system. Real-time be-
havior cannot be guaranteed for either the output data or the input
data.
Control the outputs via the web server as follows:
1. Connect the valve system to the web server (see g 3. Establishing a connec-
tion to the web server).
2. Select the "System configuration" tab.
