Considerations for battery use
The battery comes DISCHARGED from the factory. You will need to charge it for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes before you can use it.
The normal charging temperature is 32 °F to 113 °F. Outside this range, charging is automatically suspended until the correct
temperature is reached. The normal discharge / working temperature is 32 °F to 167 °F. If 167 °F s exceeded, the electronic control
shuts off the power to the tool until the temperature reaches the optimum temperature range again. When the battery is below
normal voltage during work, the tool stops working. Between each charge, give the charger 15 minutes rest. In a hot environment
or after prolonged use, the battery may become too hot to be recharged. Allow the battery to cool before attempting to recharge.
Installing and removing the battery
• To install the battery in the tool handle, align the battery unit with the
rails on the inside of the tool handle and slide it into the handle until
the battery unit is firmly inserted into the tool; check that the battery
unit does not slip out by itself.
• To remove the battery unit from the tool, press the release button (C)
and pull the battery unit firmly out of the tool handle.
Installing the die
1. Install the direction knob in the lock position (center).
2. Grasp the die and push firmly onto the frame. The
retaining ring compresses to allow the attachment to slide on
top. Once the fitting is installed, the retaining ring applies
pressure which helps allow the fitting to be retained.
Removing the accessory
• To remove an accessory, grasp the accessory and pull firmly.
• Always use impact dice for this tool. Do not use dices for
hand tools. Refer to the
range of accessories.
• Use 1/2" (13 mm) frame dice.
• Adapters for other size dice are not recommended, use
them only if strictly necessary.
• In case the die has holes, always use rubber rings and steel
tips when installing the socket in the frame drive.
• When the frame has a retaining ring, check that it is in good
condition and if damaged, replace it immediately.
WARNING
• When a die has not been secured and
adjusted as instructed, it can fly off and injure the operator.
Rotation direction
• To screw in, release the switch and press the direction of rotation
button on the side where the marks point towards the drill bit.
• To reverse direction and unscrew, press it on the opposite side.
• The tool switch locks if the direction of rotation button is in the
middle position.
• The first time you turn on the tool after
CAUTION
reversing the rotation, a click may be heard. This is normal and
does not represent a problem.
CAUTION
• Never reverse the direction of rotation while
the tool is running to avoid damaging the tool.
