Simply Falls Vault
Physical Installation
1. Excavate a pit.
• The pit must be deep enough to sit the vault 1-2" below the ground surface.
• The pit must be large enough to ensure the pump is submerged at all times and hold an ade-
quate water supply for the waterfall display system.
2. Lay underlayment inside the pit and along the display bed.
3. Place a pond liner over top of the underlayment.
4. Attach the discharge kit to the pump and place them in the vault.
NOTE: Pump flow rate should not exceed 5,000 gallons per hour.
5. Ensure proper alignment of the discharge kit and the vault discharge hole.
6. Glue the discharge kit components together using PVC primer and PVC cement.
• Use PTFE tape on all threaded fittings.
7. Place vault assembly into the pit and connect the hose to the vault's discharge.
8. Fill vault with water and test final assembly for proper operation.
9. Place lid on vault and add backfill around vault with rocks, starting with larger rocks on the bottom.
IMPORTANT: Do not use rocks with sharp edges or diameters of 1/2-inch or less.
NOTE: It is recommended to install a ball valve in the hose between the pump vault and waterfall
to control the flow rate.
