A2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any intervention on the filter other than the automatic backwashing
operation, disconnect the filter from the power supply and place the filter in the by-pass
position.
Warning! Before carrying out any intervention on the filter other than cleaning operation,
place the filter in by-pass position.
Warning! The Manufacturer cannot be held responsible for non-compliance with what is
stated in this manual
If maintenance requires disassembly of the equipment, parts which come in contact with drinking
water must be handled with care from hygienic point to avoid contamination of the hydraulic system.
Use suitable disposable gloves. Any tools used must be cleaned and disinfected before use.
Periodic maintenance is foreseen on two levels expressly defined in relation to the difficulty:
Ordinary maintenance: can be carried out by the end user and consists of periodic cleaning
of the filter.
Extraordinary maintenance: extraordinary maintenance must only be performed by qualified
technical personnel.
A2.1 Ordinary maintenance
In order to guarantee the proper cleaning of BravoMATIC at any time, intervene in 2 different ways:
Fixed interval: The time interval is set for performing backwashing operation.
Time/Date: The time and the interval in days are set for performing the backwashing
operation.
The cleaning of plastic parts can only be performed with a soft damp cloth, without using any
solvents, soaps or acid detergents.
NO USE PERIOD
For periods of less than 30 days, perform the filter cleaning operation repeatedly (4-5 times). For
non-use periods longer than 30 days, you must proceed to filter sanitization. With "non-use" it is
meant that the plumbing system remains still without any water being drawn from the taps (e.g.
holiday period). If the plumbing system is subject to a cleaning and sanitizing intervention, BravoFIL
S shall also be included in the intervention plan.
The sanitizing intervention is part of the extraordinary maintenance interventions that have
to be carried out exclusively by qualified personnel. In case of need, kindly contact a Acqua
Brevetti Technical Service Centers (TSC).
A2.2 Extraordinary maintenance
The extraordinary maintenance or repair interventions, if not correctly performed, can
compromise the functional and/or safety features: these operations are deliberately omitted
in this manual.
Therefore, all maintenance and extraordinary repair interventions not mentioned in this manual have
to be carried out exclusively by an authorized Acqua Brevetti SRL TSC. Acqua Brevetti SRL has
established and organized an efficient technical assistance service covering the entire national
territory with specialized technicians who will be at your disposal to ensure the perfect functioning of
our equipment.
