A1.5 BravoFIL operation
BravoFIL is a backwashing filter with a dual-action filter cleaning system: cartridge brushing and
backwashing with filtering water.
During the operating phase the water enters the filter through the inlet fitting and cross the filtering
cartridge from the outside to the inside and leaves the filter through the outlet fitting.
In order to clean the filter is enough to rotate the upper knob: five brushes scrape the surface of the
cartridge and contemporary the water that enters is diverted into a secondary filter and sprinkled
on the internal surface of the cartridge (backwashing). The automatic opening of the discharge
valve ensures the elimination of the dirt removed during the backwashing. The filter has a
maintenance date indicator. The BravoFIL's cleaning brushes are equipped with silver inserts
which contrast the bacterial proliferation on the filter element.
BravoFIL filter is equipped with a 360° brass connection plate that can turn at intervals of 90°.
A1.6 Specification for water to be treated
BravoFIL has been designed and built for treating water intended for human consumption in
compliance with Directive 98/83/CE and subsequent amendments.
Warning! BravoFIL is not designed to filter closed circuit water, process and discharge
water, water containing large quantities of sand or coarse bodies larger than 2 mm, silt or
chemicals (oils, solvents, acids, alkalynes, glycols).
Warning! High chloride concentrations can adversely affect the aggressiveness of the
water and selective corrosion by dezincification of the filters. To remedy the effects of
corrosion, it is advisable that the waters do not have chloride concentrations (Cl
than 200 mg/l.
