Do not dispose of batteries in a ve as they may explode
Batteries may cause electric shock and have a high short-circuit current. Please take the precautionary
measures speci ed below and any other measures necessary when working with batterie:
1. Remove wristwatches, rings and other metal objects
2. Use only tools with insulated grips and handles
3. Wear rubber gloves and boots.
4. Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.
5. Disconnect charging source and load prior to installing or maintaining the battery
6. Remove battery grounds during installation and maintenance to reduce likelihood of shock
Internal battery voltage i 12VDC Sealed, lead-acid 6-cell battery
Battery service should be improved or supervised only by personnel who have the required
knowledge with due precautions. Keeping unauthorized personnel out of reach.
Do not open or mutilate the battery or batteries. Release electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes. It
may be toxic.
Attention, hazardous through electric shock. Also with dis-connection of this unit from the mains,
hazardous voltage unit may be accessible through supply from battery. The battery supply should be
therefore disconnected in the plus and minus pole at the connectors of the battery when
maintenance or service work inside the UPS is necessary.
To reduce the risk of overheating the UPS, do not cover the UPS cooling vents and avoid exposing the
unit to direct sunlight or installing the unit near heat emitting appliances such as space heater or
furnaces
Unplug the UPS prior to cleaning and do not use liquid or spray detergent.
The outlet must be installed close to the equipment and be easily accessible.
Caution-Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries
according to the instructions.
Do not attach any item related to computers, be it medical equipment, life support equipment,
microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, etc ... to the unit.
