Calling up the Web Application via a hot-
spot
The Energy Manager offers a wireless access point
(hotspot), which is protected by a password and re-
quires a manual login. A WiFi-enabled end device can
connect to the hotspot and access the Web Applica-
tion of the Energy Manager. The Web Application can
be integrated into the home network at any time.

Calling up the Web Application via WiFi
(WPS function)
The Energy Manager can be paired with an existing
home network (e. g. network router) via the WPS
function without entering a password.
For information on using the WPS function, refer to
the
g Home Energy Manager installation instructions.
Forwarding to the Web Application
Information
Depending on the browser you are using, the Web
Application is not opened immediately, but a mes-
sage indicating the browser's security settings is dis-
played first.
1. Select Advanced in the warning message dis-
played in the browser.
2. In the following dialog window, select Add ex-
ception.
The SSL certificate is confirmed and the
Web Application is opened.

Log in to the Web Application
Two users are available for logging into the Web
Application: Home user and Customer support.
The Customer support user is intended for the elec-
trician who sets up the Energy Manager.
The following steps should already have been per-
formed by an electrician so that the Web Application
can be used properly:
b Initial installation with the necessary settings for
the Web Application.
Logging into the Web Application for home applica-
tion is performed with the user Home user. Not all
configuration settings of the Energy Manager are
available to the home user. This user can view the
settings authorized by the Customer Support, but
cannot edit them.

1. Select the user Home user.
2. Enter a password (identified as Password Home
User in the access data letter).

Operating the Web Application
Configuration settings and detailed information on
energy management can be displayed using the Web
Application.
Information
Legal notices and privacy policy with information
on third-party content and licenses can be called
up from the Web Application at any time using the
corresponding link.
Information
After 25 minutes of inactivity, the user is automati-
cally logged out of the Web Application.
