Keep third parties away from the power tool's area of
operation. Never work while animals or people,
especially children, are in the danger zone.
Keep the work area clean, organized and well lit (250 to 300
lux light), thus decreasing the risk of accidents.
Always wear personal protective equipment and clothing.
Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing protection,
anti-slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing, gloves and
helmet properly reduces the risk of injury.
Clothing worn during the appliance operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler suit.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from rotating parts.
The following precautions and procedures should also be
followed to avoid accidents:
▪ Always keep the base plate firmly secured to a
workbench, by tightening the fixing bolts;
▪ To avoid displacements or projections use clamping
devices to ensure a safe performance. Place and keep
the workpiece in a correct and stable position;
▪ Always fit the blade guard in place and in good working
condition. The blade guard should move freely and close
instantly. Never operate the power tool without the blade
guard installed;
▪ When using the circular saw, adopt a stable position and
always keep your balance. Hold the power tool firmly to
ensure continuous operation and withstand unexpected
situations;
▪ The saw blade may become too hot while cutting. Avoid
touching it, it can cause severe burns;
▪ Make sure that the ventilation slots are not clogged. Do
not place any objects over the ventilation slots;
▪ Avoid using the power tool on wood coated with paint
containing lead or other materials that are harmful to
health. There are certain types of powder (oak and
beech) which are classified as carcinogenic substances
when they have additives for wood preservation. Any
contact or inhalation of dust may cause allergic
reactions and/or breathing disorders.
Before performing cleaning, adjusting, repairing and
maintenance work, always unplug the power cord.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately, so that
the power tool is always in a safe operating condition.
Cleaning:
Always keep the power tool clean and dry, free from oil,
lubricants or grease. Clean all circular saw parts and
accessories after operation.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products. These products
may damage plastics and metals, compromising the safe
operation of the power tool.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in this instruction
manual may be carried out; all other works must be
performed by an official dealer.
Use only VITO-approved blades and attachable accessories
for this appliance or technically identical parts. Failure to
do so may result in personal injuries or damages to the
circular saw. If in doubt, if you lack knowledge or resources,
you should contact an official dealer.
Your circular saw should only be serviced by the
manufacturer's internal service personnel, or other
qualified personnel, replacing any necessary parts with
original parts.
