BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove all packaging materials from the grill.
2. Turn the control knob set to "OFF".
3. Open the grill lid, remove warming rack, cooking grid, and grease
tray.
4. Remove the diffuser and verify there are no foreign objects
obstructing the auger.
5. Inspect the bottom of grill body and remove any pellet ash. Also
inspect and clean out fire pot. Ensure there are no foreign objects in
the fire pot and the at the ignitor is clean and clear of debris.
6. Open the hopper lid and ensure the hopper safety guard is in place
and the pellet cleanout door is closed.
7. Fill the hopper with your choice of pellets to your desired fuel level
and close the hopper lid.
8. Plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
9. Turn on the grill by turning control knob to "HIGH".
10. Observe the auger is turning and that pellets are filling the auger
tube. (This could take a few minutes.) Once pellets begin to fall into
fire pot, turn the control knob to "OFF".
11. Reinstall the diffuser, cooking grids and warming rack.
LIGHTING YOUR GRILL - AUTOMATICALLY
Make sure your grill is properly setup and ready for use.
1. Open the grill lid and verify all the components are in place.
2. Ensure the hopper does not contain foreign objects and is filled with enough barbecue pellets.
3. Ensure the auger is filled with pellets. If not, go back to BEFORE FIRST USE procedure and properly
fill the auger with pellets.
4. Turn the control knob to "SMOKE". Listen for the operation of the fan and auger motor. Smoke should
be visible within 5 minutes. If smoke does not appear, turn OFF power and wait 5 minutes before
relight.
5. Once the grill has lit, close the lid. Set the desired cooking temperature or smoking preset.
LIGHTING YOUR GRILL - MANUALLY
Make sure your grill is properly setup and ready for use.
1. Open the grill lid and remove the grids, grease tray and diffuser.
2. Ensure the hopper does not contain foreign objects and is filled with enough barbecue pellets.
3. Ensure the auger is filled with pellets. If not, go back to BEFORE FIRST USE procedure and properly
fill the auger with pellets.
4. Add a natural wood fire starter or gel to the fire pot.
5. With a long match or lighter, ignite the fire starter.
6. Add a handful of barbecue pellets to the fire pot.
7. After the pellets are burning well, replace the diffuser, grease tray and grids.
8. Turn the control knob to "SMOKE". Listen for the operation of the fan and auger motor.
9. Keep the grill lid open for a few minutes to complete the lighting procedure.
10. Set the desired cooking mode and temperature if not already entered.
